William Byun, DVM

Although born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dr. William Byun grew up in our very own Beverly Hills and graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 2009. He went on to continue his education at UC Berkeley, where he studied Integrative Biology and contributed to the research efforts of studying a novel way of delivering injectable protein-based drugs within the Bioengineering Department. Dr. Byun then moved to Michigan, where he not only obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University but also became acupuncture certified.

Dr. Byun may look particularly familiar to our longtime clients and patients because Dr. Byun initially joined Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital in September 2013 as a veterinary assistant!  He officially joined Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital as a doctor in June 2019. His professional interests include cardiology, soft-tissue surgery, and integrative medicine. Dr. Byun is excited to give back to the very community he was raised by helping people care for the animals they love. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Byun enjoys golfing, playing soccer, attending sporting and music events, and long walks on the beach.
